Researchers from Southern Methodist University are conducting a survey that is part of their IRB-approved research project on infrastructure preferences across North Central Texas.
Why This Matters to Alvord:
This research explores how values—like safety, tradition, environmental protection, or economic growth—influence what people want from public infrastructure. Alvord, like many growing communities in our region, faces important decisions about roads, water systems, parks, and more. This survey will help uncover what our residents prioritize when it comes to these investments. The insights from Alvord will be part of a broader regional study, and findings may help guide planners, funding agencies, and policymakers toward infrastructure that reflects community values—not just technical or political pressures.
The survey is anonymous, takes about 10–15 minutes to complete, and participants can enter a raffle for a $125 gift card (Amazon or Visa). We are also offering $10 Amazon gift cards to the first 10 participants from each city.
